The Story of Impressa

Lori and Steve, both in fashion related corporate careers, arrived in North Carolina from Los Angeles in the 1980’s.  Realizing it was a wonderful place to raise their two children, they stayed.  They saw a void in the retail fashion jewelry space. Expensive “fine-jewelry” was available in a dozen locations in each shopping mall. And cheap, unreliable fashion jewelry could be found in department stores or retail shops targeting teenagers.  As a result, Impressa was born in 1990.

The word “Impressa” means “elegant and beautiful” in Italian.  Further back in European history it meant one’s “personal identity.” For us it means both of these and we help you achieve your fashion goals via excellent quality fashion jewelry at a fraction of the designer price.
